*FC Dinamo Yerevan and Mika-Kasakh FC are promoted.
* The merger between Kasakh Ashtarak and Mika FC was un-merged, causing Mika FC to stay in the Premier League and Kasakh Ashtarak to be disbanded. Kasakh Ashtarak still keeps its name, logo, history and statistics, while Mika FC becomes a new club, established in 1999.
* Tsement Ararat changed their name to Araks Ararat FC.
* FC Yerevan and Erebuni Yerevan both withdrew before the start of the season.
* As a result, Kilikia FC who were originally relegated kept their place.
* Lernagorts Kapan were additionally promoted to have an eight team competition.
